My Description, Personality and Interests
My name is Daria, I am 26 years old, and I live in Moscow, Russia. I speak Russian, English, Spanish and a bit of French and Polish. I like to meet people and have fascinating conversations about various topics. I always have been a geek, and still am, and I suppose that the range of my interests and education is quite wide. I read (too much ;)) , I am quite good at learning languages and I prefer to read my favorite books in the languages they were written in. I translate professional texts and fiction, and it is fun for me (and provides me with some money at the same time). At highschool I majored in biology and geography (ecology and environment protection, actually), then I became obsessed with how the human mind works, and graduated from developmental psychology department. Worked as a school psychologist, consultant at a crisis phone line, teacher of ecology, logic, history and sociology of science at a school for gifted children (and liked it a lot). Now I am a senior researcher at a psychological institute, finishing my PhD (on burnout in school psychologists – I was my first guinea pig!) My interests now drift towards “how the society works” – politics, social justice, welfare etc, I do some volunteer work for a law reform center (restorative justice in juvenale justicia), organise supervision for social workers, study narrative therapy. Anyway, being in a relationship always was at the least as important for me as my interests, - to be able to share some questions and findings with someone special, to have fun (walking, travelling, exploring the world, joking, listening to live music, dancing, watching movies, cuddling, expressing affection through touch and sex etc.) I am fond of nature and old cities. I am mostly kinesthetic and audial person, if it is telling you something. |
